T-shirt Dress: Topshop // Boots: Steve Madden
I've been completely obsessed with oversized t-shirt dresses this season. I love how minimal and comfy they are while still allowing some room for creativity in how you accessorize the look. I spotted this adorable v-neck t-shirt dress at Topshop and just love that even though the dress is cut into a v-neck, the neck-band is still intact, creating a sort of choker. I decided to go for a simple look, simply pairing the dress with tall black suede boots. This comfy look can be styled so many ways and can easily transition from day to night!

Simple Hair Twist

Monday, February 20, 2017

I love changing up my hair and I've recently come up with a little pulled back look that I've been wearing almost every day! Not to mention this is probably the simplest thing I could do to my hair other than just leaving it down! My front layers are always covering part of my face so pulling those layers away from my face really lets of my face show while still wearing my hair down.

To achieve this look:
You Will Need:
  • 2 bobby pins
  • A flat iron or curling iron to add in loose curls if desired

  1. I like to add some subtle curls mainly to the bottom portion of my hair using a flat iron but a curling iron would work just fine. I really don't take long doing this because I want my hair to have an effortless look.
  2. Section two pieces of hair at the front of your head, to the right of your part, and begin twisting the hair sections over each other.
  3. Pin the twisted hair once you reach the back of your head.
  4. Gently pull each loop of the twist to give it more volume.
  5. Repeat on other side and you're all done!

Valentine's Day Ensemble

Dress: Love Culture // Cardigan: Target // Heart Purse: Target // Boots: Steve Madden
I had the most magical Valentine's Day yesterday spent eating a yummy Italian dinner, gifting and receiving chocolates and flowers and of course spending the day with loved ones. I put together this little ensemble to celebrate a day filled with love. I love creating monochrome outfits and what better color palette to wear for Valentine's Day than blush! I've been keeping my eye out for a velvet blush dress and found this adorable figure hugging dress from Love Culture! I paired it with a comfy thick knit cardigan from none other than my favorite place, Target. While picking up some last minute Valentine's goodies at Target, I spotted this adorable heart purse in the little girls' section and I couldn't resist getting it! I've always loved the clothing that the Target girls' section carries and wish they would make similar pieces for the Women's clothing. Luckily this Valentine's Day purse can be worn no matter your age. Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's day!

Oversized T-shirt & Corset Belt

Sunday, February 5, 2017

T-shirt Dress: Top Shop // Corset Belt: Windsor // Boots: Steve Madden // Sunnies: Quay Australia
I first came across the corset and t-shirt dress trend when I saw a couple celebrities and a few bloggers wearing a full-on corset over an oversized t-shirt dress. It's a trend I'd never seen before and it creates a very unique look, combining the comfort and casualness of a giant t-shirt with the vampy-ness of a waist cinching corset. I absolutely love this trend so I decided to share my own take of it with you guys.
I'm a sucker for anything blush so when I came across this oversized t-shirt dress from top shop I had to pick it up and knew it would pair perfectly with a corset belt. I'm all about comfort, so wearing an old fashioned corset didn't exactly sound too practical for me. I also wanted a bit more of an understated corset style belt that wouldn't be too over the top. I searched for so long looking for a belt that had that corset style but was also comfortable to wear all day long and I finally came across this faux suede/elastic belt from Windsor! It comes in three colors and has three different button snap closures to adjust the belt to your size. I matched the belt with suede knee high boots and blush sunnies. I can't wait to try more looks featuring this corset belt trend. Have any of you created a similar look?
